2008 marks the first full season of Wildcat Softball in our new home.  To celebrate, Guntersville High School is hosting the First Annual Lakeside Classic.  This year's 8-Team field includes the 2007 2A Runner Up J.B. Pennington Tigers, as well as, 3A guest Sardis, and 4A rivals Boaz, Douglas, Oneonta, and Guntersville.  Our 5A guests are Etowah, and Scottsboro.  When the first polls come out, we are certain to find several of these teams on the list.  It should be a great weekend of softball which starts Friday, March 7 at 3:30 with J.B. Pennington playing Douglas.  Guntersville will play in the second game at 4:50 vs. Etowah and again at 8:50 vs. Oneonta.  For a complete list of game times for Friday and Saturday, see Lakeside Classic Game Times.

We are asking that all guests park at the end of the football field in the main parking lot and walk down the track to the field.  Soccer will be playing home matches on Friday and Saturday and Baseball will be hosting as well.  Please reserve the parking at the softball complex for our senior citizens and fans with disabilities.  For more information contact jshankles@gcboe.net or jlatta@gcboe.net or call GHS at 256-582-2046.
