JV CATS CRUISE PAST ARAB

Bryneth Buckner picked up her first win of the young season Monday night at the new Guntersville High School Softball Stadium.  The Lady JV Knights didn't muster a base hit until their final inning (4th) when (A) Braswell single to right center field.  Buckner fanned 4 batters, walked 1, struck out 4 en-route to a 9-0 victory.

Deanna Creps led off the game with single up the middle and score on a passed ball after stealing 2nd and 3rd bases.  Creps walked to lead off the third inning, stole second, and scored on a Lady Knight error.  Singles by Kaitlin Bannister and Jessy Baker added 3 more runs to end the third with a 4-0 lead.

Creps got things started once again in the 4th with her second single of the day.  Baker added a single, Whitaker a double, Bannister a triple to plate 5 more runs in the last half of the 4th inning.  Time expired with the Cats on top 9-0.  The Guntersville JV Cats improved their record to 3-0, and have outscored their opponents by a total of 23-1.

Weather permitting, the JV Cats will be back in action at home on Tuesday, March 4th at 6:00 vs. North Jackson.
