JV and Varsity open with Albertville in County Tourney

Wildcats and Aggies:  an all-too-familiar matchup.  For the 10th time in 2 seasons, the Cats will do battle with cross town rival Albertville.  Last year the two teams played 7 times--twice in the County Tournament.  This year Albertville has won the first two battles by scores of 4-2 and 5-4.  The Cats believe that the third time is the charm.

The JV Cats will open with Albertville as well.  The two teams have split this season--Albertville won the first matchup of the season (8-1) and the Lady Wildcats took the second this past Saturday in a come-from-behind 8-5 victory en-route to the Boaz Invitational Championship.

The 2008 Marshall County Softball Tournament is hosted by Boaz High School at Paradise Park in Boaz.  Three Varsity games will begin Monday, April 7th at 1:00, followed immediately by 4 JV games.  Due to SAT testing that is going on all around the state, no late games will be played either night.  If time permits, the finals will be held on Tuesday night.  In case of rainout or other delays, games will be pushed back one day (No games on Wednesday regardless).

Complete brackets will be posted on the website as soon as they are available.
